Sports Training & The Reason Most Coaches Are Wrong...

One thing I've noticed is that when you look at the way coaches train their players, you can tell they have no clue about the body.
For example, many football coaches have their players jog a few miles for exercise.
My question is - when on earth do football players EVER jog during a game!?
The key to training for sports is that you have to do exercises that carry over to on-field improvement.
For example, weightlifting for hypertrophy is detrimental to football players because they would be lifting at a slow pace, whereas power lifting (in a fast, powerful motion) would be a great supplement for it.
Many high school teams would be a lot better if coaches took the time to learn about these types of things - but most don't.
Hopefully a coach reads this and starts to learn more so they can improve their team!
