The Benefits Of Circuit Training Are Many

Learn How To Receive All The Terrific Benefits Of Circuit Training

The benefits of circuit training include saving a lot of time, money and hassle.

Some more benefits of circuit training are listed below, but first let's take a look at circuit training to gain a complete understanding of how you can use it to your advantage.

What is circuit training?

Circuit training has become one of the most popular forms of fitness training in recent years. It's used extensively by athletes, law enforcement personnel as well as men and women who just want to "get healthy and get in shape".

In short, circuit training is a high-energy aerobic/anaerobic workout that's combined with weights and/or weight machines. You don't have to do circuit training routines in a gym.

You get the same benefits of circuit training by performing circuit training exercises outside, at home, a gym or almost anywhere you can think of.

There aren't set rules when it comes to circuit training, but regardless of the types of circuit training you learn, you will still receive the same benefits of circuit training. It depends on the trainer doing the instruction or the fitness training program.

Some of the components in different types of circuit training that you could run into include: (keep in mind that you'll still notice all the circuit training benefits)

  • Circuit training sessions will focus on 12 or so strength and aerobic/anaerobic exercises or stations (can be anywhere from 9 - 12).
  • Circuit training will concentrate on activities that build strength, tone muscles, burn fat and improve endurance.
  • Circuit training should include high reps with reduced weights to reduce the stress on the joints and tendons. Each exercise only needs to be performed one time before moving on to the next exercise.
  • There should be little or no rest between exercises or stations.

To realize the greatest circuit training benefits it's best not to concentrate on the same types of circuit training. In other words, even with circuit training you should cross-train.

Always do different body parts as you work through your circuit and on consecutive days alternate your exercises. Use different stations, do your circuit in a different order, etc. Change it up.

The simplest way to continually notice the benefits of circuit training is to progressively go from one exercise/station to the next, in the proper order, alternating body parts or muscle groups until you have finished your entire circuit.

The choice of exercises, weight stations (if you're working out at a gym), the weight you're using, the number of reps (will be determined by the weight you're using of course), and any rest periods between exercises is usually an individual choice.

You'll still see the same circuit training benefits regardless of what you choose.
